MYRTLE GUILLORY BOUDREAUX
October 21, 1933-October 4, 2016
Myrtle Guillory Boudreaux, of Morgan City, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was just 17 days from celebrating her 83rd birthday.
Myrtle was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Morgan City, to the late Earl Guillory and the late Florence Burgess Guillory.
She was a devoted wife, and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend, dedicated to the love and care of her family. Her most precious and cherished times were those spent with her family. Her beautiful smile and kind heart will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her. Until we meet again, we love you.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband and best friend of 65 years, Floyd C. “Jack” Boudreaux Sr.; her children, Vickie Boudreaux, Sandra Molaison and husband Dennis, and Floyd Boudreaux Jr. and wife Laurie; her foster daughter, Adele Fitch and husband Tim Clark; 11 grandchildren, Dawn Flumerfelt, Chad Aucoin, Laurie Jo Soigner, Terry Sanchez Jr., Jessica Melancon, Bennett Boudreaux, Jeremy Boudreaux, Mackenzie Molaison, Brandon Thomas, Brandy Thomas and Michael Thomas; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters and brother, Annabelle Chaisson and husband Gerald, Evelyn Olivier and husband Aubrey, and Gerald “Jerry” Guillory.
Along with her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her daughter, Penny Cook; her granddaughter, Heidi Sanchez; her great-grandson, Kyle Ritter; and her siblings, Louise Fontenot, Rose Alice Freemin, Jeanne Barrilleaux, Bernard Guillory, Lloyd Guillory, Joseph Guillory and Robert Guillory.
A gathering of family and friends will be held at Hargrave Funeral Home on Friday, Oct. 7, 2016, from 9:30 a.m. until services. A funeral service will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Joseph Chacko, pastor of St. Andrew Catholic Church, officiating.
Mrs. Boudreaux will be laid to rest at Morgan City Mausoleum following services.
