LAWRENCE DARNELL SR

Lawrence Darnell Sr., 77, a native of Patterson, Louisiana, died Friday, May 20, 2016, at Iberia Medical Center.
Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. until services at 1 p.m. at Special Providence Baptist Church, 814 Martin Luther King in Baldwin, the Rev. Carl Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in New Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Patterson.
He is survived by his wife, Lamonica Caesar Darnell of Grand Marais; 10 daughters, Nevelyn Alexander of Centerville, Denise Richard of Thibodaux, Valerie Landry of Houston, Lawrenisha Darnell and Tempest Jackson, both of Patterson, Damian Chisley of Raceland, Andrea Darnell of Beaumont, Texas, Lethia Fanuiel of Galveston, Texas, and Shamberly Caesar and Ambernise White, both of Baldwin; four sons, Brandon Scott and Lawrence Darnell, both of Patterson, Lester Darnell of Seattle, and Antanious White of Baldwin; four sisters, Betty Alexander of League City, Texas, Linda Montgomery of Galveston, Texas, Jackie Miller of Jeanerette, and Carolyn Jack of Houston; and three brothers, Harry Irvin and Ronald Miller, both of Patterson, and Donald Miller of Morgan City.
He also is survived by 30 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, mother-in-law, father-in-law, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, three brothers, one sister and two grandsons.
