MIRIAM (MIM) MICHEL PRICE

Miriam (Mim) Michel Price was born in Morgan City, Louisiana, on June 7, 1941. She was a lifelong resident of Morgan City. She entered Heaven’s gates on June 19, 2016, surrounded by family.
A consummate mother and homemaker, her family was the center of her attention. Filled with compassion and interest in others, Miriam made friends easily and maintained contact with many. She also loved to travel with her late husband, Merlin Price Sr. Miriam had an unwavering faith in God and was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Miriam was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years, Merlin R. Price. She was also predeceased by her three grandchildren, Nicole M. Price, Christin A. Vaught and husband Kevin, and Merlin R. Price III; parents, Lawrence and Grace Michel; brothers-in-law, Ernest Price and wife Martha, Lee Otis Price Jr., Eugene Price and Wybra Price; sisters-in-law, Helen P. Daigle and husband Allen, Susan Price and Barbara Price; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lee Otis and Agnes Sauce Price.
Miriam is survived by her daughter, Julie A. Price; sons, Merlin R. Price Jr. and wife Shawn, Raymond P. Price and wife Eugina, Glynn P. Price Sr. and wife Wendy, and Patrick L. Price and wife Angela; grandchildren, Kay B. Vining and husband Scott, Chad A. Billiot and wife Cheryl, Arissa H. Price, Scott E. Price, Charlie E. Price and Ross Carroll, Savannah P. Hebert and husband Caleb Sr., Glynn Price Jr., Nicolas J. Price, Alyssa M. Price, and Patrick Price Jr.; great-grandchildren, Taylour Vining, Kaylee Vining, Landon Vining, Briahna Veregin, Kylie Billiot, Brynlea Carroll, Caleb Hebert Jr., Kaden Billiot, Abigail Hebert and Ali; sisters, Pam Soumeillan and husband Rodney, and Bebe Fontenot; brothers-in-law, Frank Price and wife Jackie, Gerald Price Sr., Curtis Price and wife Teresa, and Don Price and wife Anna; sisters-in-law, Agnes P. Wright and husband Jim, Elizabeth P. Allen and husband Earl, Charlene P. Pye and husband Anthony, Gen Price, Margie Price and Rose Price; and numerous nieces and nephews in the Michel and Price families.
Her daughter, Julie Price and son, Raymond Price lovingly cared for her the last 10 years of her life. The family gives them and everyone else who cared for Miriam their greatest gratitude.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 25, 2016, at 9:30 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, Mass to be held at 10 a.m., with burial at Morgan City Cemetery to immediately follow.
