NELLIE LORETTA CHRISTY SALTZMAN

Nellie Loretta Christy Saltzman went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on May 23, 2016, at home in Lafayette, Louisiana.
Nellie was born Sept. 6, 1924, to Clara Bateman Christy and Orrin Christy, in Morgan City, Louisiana. Nellie was the owner of Nell Davis Employment Agency and Western Temporary for many years.
Nellie was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Saltzman; brother, Orrin Christy Jr.; and niece, Bonnie Bateman Kane.
Nellie is survived by her brother, Jim Christy; daughters, Rickie Davis (A.J.) Maloney and Tami Davis (Steve) Crosby; grandchildren, Christy Ferris, Lori (Kurt) Woods, Pamela (Mark) Mouton, Charmin (Shannon) Tanner, Richard (Julie) Crosby, Thomas (Allison) Crosby, and David Crosby; 12 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Ms. Charlene, Ms. Cynthia, Ms. Jackie, Ms. Janet, and Ms. Lorraine for their tender, loving care.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, May 26, 2016, at the Morgan City Cemetery starting at 2 p.m. and officiated by Pastor Shannon Tanner.
