Funeral services for Arlene Picard Borne will be held at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial on Wednesday, February 11, 2015, at Ibert’s Mortuary, with Fr. Ruben Primor officiating. The family requests visiting hours be observed Tuesday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., with the rosary being prayed at 7 p.m., and again Wednesday from 8 a.m. until Mass time.
Mrs. Arlene was a native of Franklin and a resident of Centerville for over 30 years. She was born on October 10, 1949 to the late Arlen Joseph Picard and the late Leatrice Hebert Picard. She passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital.
Survivors include three sons, Scott Borne and his wife, Millie, of Centerville; Jason Borne and his wife, Brandy, of Youngsville; and Jonathan Borne and his fiancée, Erica, of Centerville; five siblings, Michael Picard and his wife, Anne; Richard Picard and his wife, Cathy; Brian Picard and his wife, Patrice; Kim Steiner and her husband, Allen; and Kevin Picard and his wife, Teresa; two grandchildren, Madelyn and Ethan Borne; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, James Warren “Jim” Borne.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
