ARTHUR WATTS SR.

Mr. Arthur Watts Sr., 92, a resident of Verdunville and native of Franklin, died Friday, January 30, 2015, at 4:05 a.m., at Franklin Health Care Center following a short illness.
Visitations will be held Saturday, Feb. 14, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Otis Mortuary, Inc. Chapel.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at the mortuary, with Brother Stanley Rankins officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Zion Baptist Church on Verdun Lane in Verdunville.
Survivors include five sons, Jackie Watts (his wife, Veronica) and Kenneth Watts (his wife, Ruth), both of Morgan City; Johnny Watts of Verdunville, Robert Watts of Houston, TX and Reuben Stewart (his wife, Tasha) of St. Petersburg, FL; seven daughters, Ms. Maraget Watts of Patterson, Mrs. Edith Stevenson (her husband, Allen of Thibodaux; Ms. Delores Watts and Mrs. Carolyn Chavis (her husband, Derrick), both of Morgan City; Ms. Carrie Watts of Verdunville, Ms. Linda Watts of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Jeannie Williams (her husband, Sterling) of Gibson; one brother, Robert Watts (his wife, Betty) of Houston, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Paul of Verdunville and Ms. Ella Watts of Texas City, TX; a very devoted sister-in-law, Rev. Earlene Watts Chevis of Breaux Bridge; and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Mr. Watts was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and three sons.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
