Bessie Marroy Giroir, 86, passed away at Morgan City Healthcare Center Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016.
Bessie is survived by her daughter, Wanda Giroir Robicheaux and companion, Ricky Mayon, of Morgan City; step-granddaughters, Nikki (Chris) Boudreaux and Kelly (Bart) Bartolome; step-grandchildren; sisters, Mildred Rivere, Therese Hue and Mary Chappell; brother-in-law, Charles Chappell; along with many wonderful nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herbert Giroir of Pierre Part; parents, Emily Clara and Joseph Marroy; sisters, Allie (Howard) Jeansonne, Nora Mae (Oneil) Theriot and Beatrice (Luke Sr.) Giroir; brothers, Camille “CJ” (Shirley) Marroy and Kenneth (Lorraine) Marroy; brothers-in-law, Sidney Hue and Ernest Rivere; and son-in-law, Tommy Robicheaux.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 5, 2016, at Ourso Funeral Home in Pierre Part from 8:30 a.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Entombment will follow in the church mausoleum.

The family would like to express their gratitude to the Heart of Hospice staff, who went above and beyond the call of duty in caring for Ms. Bessie, and to the staff of Morgan City Healthcare Center for their care and assistance during Ms. Bessie’s stay.
