BETTY BANKS JACQUET

Betty Banks Jacquet, 81, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Thursday, Feb. 16, 2017, at Passages Hospice and The Sanctuary in New Orleans.
Visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, with a rosary at 9:30 a.m., followed by the Omega Omega Service of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. Services will be at 11 a.m. with burial following in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Daphne Jacquet of Elizabethtown, Kentucky; a grandson; two sisters, Marva Madise of Berwick and Patricia Hawkins of Morgan City; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, and two sisters.
