BEVERLY JOSEPH FOURNIER, SR.

February 8, 1922 – August 24, 2014
Private funeral services were held Monday, August 25, 2014, for Mr. Beverly Joseph Fournier, Sr., 92, a native and lifelong resident of Franklin, who passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014, in Lafayette. He was laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery.
Mr. Beverly was a pioneer in the development of the Gulf of Mexico oil industry, having spent his entire career working in some aspect of the oil industry.
Survivors include three children, Beverly J. Fournier, Jr. and his wife Lesia, David Fournier and his wife Agnes, and Karen Fournier Bishop and her husband Rocky; one sister, Frances Fournier Trahan; eight grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Johnson Fournier; one son, Larry C. Fournier; his parents, A. O. Fournier and Annie Borne Fournier; and seven siblings, Gladys Abadie, Isabella Darce, Marion Norris, Agnes Bradshaw, Jessie Fournier, Joyce Fouquier, and Gus Fournier.
