CAROL LORAINE SMITH

June 18, 1929 — February 22, 2015
Carol Loraine Smith, 85, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, Feb. 22, 2015, at Maison Jardin.
Carol was born on June 18, 1929, in Fall River, Massachusetts, the daughter of John and Jessie Wordell Dewsnap.
Carol was a former resident of Fall River, Massachusetts, and moved to Bayou Vista in 1988 following the death of her husband, John Wesley Smith. Carol was very proud to be a registered nurse and worked as a nurse in Fall River for over 20 years. Carol was a member of the Fall River Historical Society, and a member of the Bayou Vista Garden Club, St. Mary Parish AARP, as well as a member of Atkinson Memorial Presbyterian Church.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by two sons, John D. Smith and wife, Carolyn, of Patterson, and Stephen Smith and wife, Angele, of Colebrook, New Hampshire; three grandchildren, Jevon Smith, Ashlee Smith Jimenez and Nathaniel Smith; and five great-grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John Dewsnap and Jessie Wordell Dewsnap; husband, John Wesley Smith; and one brother, Raymond Dewsnap.
Private services will be held by the family.
