CHARLES ALLEN TATE SR.

Charles Allen Tate Sr., 80, a resident and native of Morgan City, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 7:10 a.m., at the Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed Saturday, April 9, at the Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church in Morgan City, from 9 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m. Dr. C. F. Smith, Sr. will officiate the services.
Memories of Charles will forever remain in the hearts of his two sons, Charles A. Tate Jr. of Slidell, and Kevin Tate of New Orleans; four daughters, Arnise Tate of Atlanta, GA; Mrs. Gregory (Yolanda T.) Thomas Sr. of Houma; Mrs. Lonnie (Jada L. Tate)-Gray of Morgan City; and Carla Wilkerson of Lafayette; to his second marriage he gained another daughter, Dedra Parker of Dallas, TX; two sisters, Mrs. Eddie (Debra) Gray of New Orleans; and Gwendolyn Smith of Houston, TX; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Charles was preceded in death by his first and second wife, and his parents.
