Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 24, 2016, at 12 p.m., at Little Pass Baptist Church in Charenton for Mr. Clyde Lemuel Johnson Sr., a native of Loreauville and a longtime resident of Baldwin who passed away at the age of 87 on Friday, August 19, 2016. He will be laid to rest next to his wife in the Victory Tabernacle Cemetery. The Rev. Dr. Chris Holloway will conduct the services, with the Rev. Bobby Hodnett and the Rev. Chad Hebert assisting. Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremy Mora, Travis Mora, Brent Johnson, Cody Johnson, Matthew Pope, James Pope, Brett Pope and Terry McClain.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Wednesday at Little Pass beginning at 9:30 a.m. and continuing until time of service.
Survivors include his four children, Carol L. Roddy and her husband, Joseph; Ralph LeBlanc and his wife, Donna; Connie J. Mora and her husband, William; and Clyde L. Johnson Jr. and his wife, Sherri; son-in-law, Sam Beall; 10 grandchildren, Princess, Charmaine, Rebel, Shannon, Lauren, Leslie, Jeremy, Travis, Brent, and Cody; as well as numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys Marie Rodriguez Johnson; one daughter, Jane L. Beall; two grandsons, Adam Roddy and Dustin Johnson; one great granddaughter, Brittany Roddy; as well as by his parents and all of his siblings.
