Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 6, 2014, at 1 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary for Colleen Stanley Rudasill, 81, a native of Lake Charles, former longtime resident of Basile and Franklin, and a current resident of Lafayette who passed away Sunday, February 2, 2014, at 6:50 p.m., at Maison de Lafayette in Lafayette. She will be laid to rest in the First Baptist Church Cemetery in Basile. Serving as pallbearers will be Shawn Rudasill, Guy Rudasill, Reed Rudasill, Wade Jacob, Nick Cortez, and Claude “Bubba” Gillis. The Reverend Bobby Hodnett will officiate the services.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday at Ibert’s Mortuary from 10 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m.
Survivors include her children, Aleta Rudasill Jacob; Shawn Rudasill and his wife, Suzanne; and Guy Rudasill; her son-in-law, Wade Jacob; her daughter-in-law, Debbie Case Rudasill; her grandchildren, Leticia Rudasill, Alissa R. Haire, Brittany J. Cortez, Reed Rudasill and Rachel Rudasill; four great grandchildren and a great great grandchild to be.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Lee Rudasill Jr.; two sons, William “Billy” Lee Rudasill and Stanley Lester Rudasill; and her parents, William P. and Mildred McClelland Stanley.
