DALLAS JOHNSON

Mr. Dallas Johnson, 62, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, July 29, 2014, at 4:55 p.m., at University Medical Center in Lafayette following a short illness.
He is survived by two sons, Kenneth Connor of Baldwin and Jason Mitchell of Dallas, Texas; three daughters, Rolander (Jerry) O’Brien of Pearland, Texas, Crystal Francis of Columbus, Ohio and Deandra Charles of Jeanerette; one brother, Alvin (Eleanor) Small of Franklin; three sisters, Doris J. White, Dorothy (Grady) Jones and Emma Dell (Robert) Taylor, all of Franklin; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Aug. 9, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Triumph Baptist Church.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 1 p.m., at that church, with officiating ministers, Apostle Albert White, Bishop Jules Anderson Sr. and the Rev. C.F. Lewis, pastor.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
