DONALD ‘HICKY’ THOMAS

Donald “Hicky” Thomas, 53, a resident and native of Patterson, passed away on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 1:25 p.m., at his residence surrounded by family and friends.
Visitation will be observed on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 11 a.m., at the Patterson Civic Center Patterson, with Brother Stanley Rankins officiating. Burial will follow funeral services in the Home Industrial Cemetery in Patterson.
Cherished and divine memories of “Hicky”, as he was known to many, will forever be remembered by his two daughters, Markita S. Darnell and Donnesha Darnell, both of Houston, TX; his loving mother, Mrs. Charles (Hattie Mae) Wilson of Patterson; four brothers, Ivory Wilson (Vanessa) of Algiers, LA; Gene Eric Grogan of Dallas, TX; Ronald Thomas (Monique) of Gonzales; and Reginald Thomas of Houston, TX; five sisters, Mrs. Billy (Janet G.) Taylor of Walls, MS; Sandra Grogan of Patterson; Mrs. Dennis (Derise) Major of Charleston, SC; Charlita R. Thomas of Baton Rouge; and Mrs. Darryl (Donnette) Webber of Broussard; two grandchildren; and a host nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Donald was preceded in death by his father, a brother and one sister.
