EARL KIRT JR.

Earl Kirt Jr., 75, a resident and native of Verdunville, passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at 7:05 a.m., at The Carpenter House St. Joseph Hospice in Lafayette.
Viewing will be observed Saturday, August 27, 2016, from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., at the Jones Funeral Home in Franklin. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m., at the Little Zion Cemetery in Verdunville. Min. Quantra Kirt will officiate the services.
Memories of Earl Jr. will forever remain in the hearts of his loving wife, Almena Bourgeois-Kirt of Verdunville; two sons, Rodney Kirt of Carencro; and Malcolm Kirt of Verdunville; four daughters, Stephonia Kirt and Mrs. Leo (Frankie Kirt) Lee, all of Verdunville, Mrs. Anthony (Bridget Kirt) Henderson of Berwick and Fredericka Kirt of Lafayette; one brother, Eugene L. Kirt of Verdunville; three sisters, Ida Mae Kirt and Nelly Marine Kirt, both of Houston, TX and Sarah Lucile “Pam” Kirt of New Iberia; seven grandchildren; a daughter-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Earl Jr. was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.
