ELIZABETH LOCKETTE WILLIAMS JOSEPH

On Friday, November 28, 2014, God sent his angel to the Belle Teche Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center in New Iberia, at 7:27 p.m., to deliver Elizabeth Lockette Williams Joseph, 82, a resident of Jeanerette, to her eternal resting place.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church, 11200 Old Jeanerette Road in Jeanerette, with a rosary being recited at 10 a.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Dismas Mauk, SVD, serving as the celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Cherished and divine memories will forever be remembered by her loving and devoted husband, Milton Joseph Jr. of Jeanerette; four daughters, Shirley Williams-Haggray, Janice Williams and Ava Williams-Richard (Carl Sr.), all of New Iberia, and Felicia Williams-Brown of Savannah, GA; three sons, Antonial Lamar Williams, Francis Reginald Williams and Kenneth “Ronto” Williams, all of Jeanerette; three stepdaughters, Mrs. Nelson (Karen Joseph) Harrison and Sandra Joseph, both of Lafayette, and Mrs. Percy (Pamelor Joseph)-Senegal of Rayne; one stepson, Milton Joseph III of Carencro; four sisters, Dorothy Prevost of Oakland, CA, Savannah Bing of Jeanerette, Aldonia Charles of Franklin and Evelyn Rhodes of Houston, TX; three brothers, Louis Lockette Jr. of Jeanerette, Raymond Lockette of Charenton and Lionel Lockette of New Iberia; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; as well as several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Mrs. Joseph was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, two sons, one daughter-in-law, three sisters, three grandchildren and one step grandson.
