EMILY S. ELKINS

Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at Bayou Baptist Church Café for Emily S. Elkins, 60, who died on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at the Regional Medical Center of Acadiana in Lafayette. Pastor Christopher Holmes will conduct the funeral services.
Survivors include her husband, Joey Elkins; one daughter, Emilie Ann Elkins; her sons, Jerry L. Richard, Christopher K. Verdin and Bret M. Hebert; five grandchildren, Sadie Verdin, Seth Verdin, Jason Hebert, Carter Hebert and one on the way; two sisters, Vivian Cook and Dee Tamplain; and two brothers, Philip Luther and Fred Fase.
She was preceded in death by her father, Wilma Trahan; one daughter, Christy Trahan; her mother-in-law, Shirley Elkins; a sister, Verna Mae Gary; and one nephew, Kelly Trahan.
