FERNANDO 'NANDO' RAMIREZ

December 19, 1937 — March 10, 2015
Fernando “Nando” Ramirez, after a lengthy illness, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, at his home while surrounded by all of his family. He will be missed by many people and was the type of person that never met a stranger. To Fernando, everyone was his friend.
A native of Central Espana, Cuba, he brought his wife and only daughter to this wonderful country almost 47 years ago. While here, Fernando worked diligently to help his family still in Cuba.
Fernando is survived by his only daughter, Maria Bolano and her husband, Oscar; three grandchildren, Suzanna Ebbecke and her husband, John, Jorge Bolano and his wife, Genesis, and Christopher Bolano and his wife, Lindsey. He also has seven great-grandchildren, Hannah, Hayley, Dillon, Julian, Alana, Alex and Jack; and one sister, Estela Ramirez.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Odilia Maria Ramirez; his parents, Lorenzo and Esther Ramirez; three brothers, Manuel, Edwards and Carlos Ramirez; and one sister, Isabel Ramirez.
Visitation for Fernando will take place Thursday, March 12, 2015, from 8 a.m. until time of Mass at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City. Fernando will be laid to rest following the services in the Morgan City Cemetery.
