Funeral services for Frank Warren Turner Jr. will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2015, at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson. He will be laid to rest in Ibert’s Memorial Park Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Turner, Scott Turner Sr., Donny Turner, Jeffery Turner, Peter Rinaldi, Christopher Rinaldi, Scott Turner Jr., and Michael Turner. A gathering of family and friends will be held Tuesday at Ibert’s from 2 p.m. until time of service.
Frank was born in New Orleans on Jan. 25, 1956, to Frank Turner Sr. and Pat Taylor Turner. He graduated from West Jefferson High in 1975. On Jan. 3, 1976, he married Christine O’Dell, his high school sweetheart. On Sept. 5, 1980, and April 18, 1982, respectively, he welcomed into the world his two sons, who were the most important part of his life. A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, as well as an avid gun collector, Frank enjoyed tinkering with his guns and loved listening to music around the house. One of his favorite pastimes was going to Cabela’s with his grandchildren.
Frank is survived by his two sons, Joshua Turner and his wife, Bobbi, and Scott Turner Sr.; his mother, Pat Turner; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Scott Jr., and Michael Turner; three siblings, Joy Rinaldi and her husband, Peter, and their children, Christopher and Emily Rinaldi, Donny Turner and William, and Jeffery Turner and his wife, Marion; as well as numerous other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Christine O’Dell Turner; and his father, Frank Warren Turner Sr.
