GEORGIA MAE EDWARDS

Georgia Mae Edwards, 69, a resident and native of Franklin, died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014, at 12:39 a.m., at Oschner Foundation in New Orleans following a short illness.
She is survived by her husband, Diamond Edwards of Franklin; four sons, Earl Dauntain of Gonzales, Ananias Dauntain of Gulfport, Mississippi, Macklin Dauntain of Franklin and Kimmy Dauntain of New Iberia; one brother, Walter J. Turner of Houston, Texas; one sister, Bessie Mae Homes of Houston, Texas; and 13 grandchildren.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., at Asbury United Methodist Church on Main St. in Franklin.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. Darrell Briggs Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Franklin Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
