HERBERT CONELLY VINING

February 26, 1940 — February 24, 2015
Herbert Connelly Vining, 74, a native of Berwick and resident of Patterson, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2015, at his residence.
Herbert was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed spending his hunting season down the bayou at his camp. He was an active NRA member and loved sharing his knowledge about hunting and fishing with family and friends. Herbert also served as a past president of The American Welding Society many years ago. He served his community and showed his love for his Creator by being a Free Mason. All who knew Herbert thought he was a great person to be around because he could bring a smile to anyone’s face. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Herbert is survived by his devoted wife, Judith Vining; one son, Connelly Brian Vining of Calumet; one daughter, Valerie Leigh Bering and husband, John R. Bering, of Jeanerette; one grandchild, Stephanie Bering of Jeanerette; and two sisters, Cheryl Stelly and husband, Donald, of Berwick, and Janet Kreider and husband, Gregg, of Houston.
Herbert was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Gladys Beadle Vining.
Herbert will be laid to rest in the Berwick Mausoleum following a visitation at Twin City Funeral Home Monday, March 2, 2015, starting at 8:30 a.m. until time of service at 10 a.m.
