HERBERT JAMES MARTIN SR.

Herbert James Martin Sr., 63, a native Rayne, La. and a resident of Charenton, died Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Franklin Foundation Hospital in Franklin, at 11:15 p.m.
Visitation will be observed on Friday, January 16, at the Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 8 a.m. until funeral services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery of Charenton.
Cherished and divine memories of Herbert Sr., will forever be remembered by his beloved wife, Francine M. Martin of Charenton; his father, Hurbert Martin Sr. of New Iberia; his mother, Ruby Phillips of Rayne; five sons, Herbert Martin Jr., Michael Martin, Kevin Martin, Reginald Martin and Kerden Martin, all of Charenton; three daughters, Lakendra Martin, Lakedra Martin and Lakoya Martin, all of Charenton; three brothers, Irvin Phillips of Franklin, Michael Phillips of Charenton and Wade Phillips of Lydia; one sister, Sharon Fitch of Texas; as well as 21 grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
