Herbert Leon Jacobs

Herbert Leon Jacobs, 91, a native of Oakdale and resident of Morgan City, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, at Patterson Healthcare.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Siracusaville Recreation Center. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery with military honors.
Jacobs was a veteran of the United States Army. The East St. Mary Funeral Squad will perform at graveside.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald D. Jacobs, of Pensacola, Florida, H. Glynn Jacobs, of Mesquite, Texas, and Rinaldi Eugene Jacobs, of Baton Rouge; two daughters, Hettie Jacobs Carries, of Morgan City, and Paulette Jacobs Toussaint, of Conyers, Georgia; a brother, Paul Wiltz Jacobs Jr., of Colorado Springs, Colorado; four sisters, Majester J. Clayton, of Compton, California, Hilda J. Simon, of Bunkie, Maryland J. Allen, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Irma J. Love, of Mobile, Alabama; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a daughter, three brothers and a sister.
