INEZ P. STANSBURY

Inez Marie Pennison Stansbury was born in Bayou Boeuf on February 19, 1918, to the late Rene’ and Justilia Simoneaux Pennison. A longtime resident of Morgan City, she passed away January 16, 2015 in the Patterson Nursing Home at the age of 96.
Inez enjoyed sewing and loved history and genealogy. She is a descendant of the Pennison, Morrison and Simoneaux families. She was the original member of the Pink Ladies of Lakewood Hospital Auxiliary, a member of The United Daughters of the Confederacy, a Heraldry organization. Inez will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved this wonderful lady.
Inez leaves behind to cherish her memories her son, Roland R. Stansbury of Morgan City; grandson, Roland R. Stansbury Jr. and wife, Spring Elizabeth, of New Iberia; great grandchildren, Roland R. Stansbury III and Heather Jeannette Stansbury.
Inez was preceded in death by her husband, Roland H. Stansbury; parents, Rene’ and Justilia Simoneaux Pennison; brother, Walter G. Pennison; sister-in-law, Agnes Pennison; and Stanley Joseph Pennison.
Visitation was Sunday January 18, 2015 at Hargrave Funeral Home from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Visitation continued Monday, January 19, 2015 at 8 a.m. until services. Funeral services were held at Hargrave Funeral Home at 10 a.m.
Inez will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
