James Andrew Jackson

James Andrew Jackson, 69, a resident of Morgan City and native of Columbus, Indiana, passed away Monday, Jan. 5, 2015, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
James served his country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was very proud of his country and service to it. James had a unique sense of humor that made people feel comfortable around him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
James is survived by his two sons, Randy Jackson, of Morgan City, and Dale Jackson and wife, Christina, of Berwick; eight grandchildren; and one sister, Mary Thibodeau, of Bayou Vista.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Thelma Jackson; and one sister, Ruth Jackson
The family will observe a private memorial service at a later date.
