JAMES 'JIMMIE' WILSON BEADLE SR.
July 14, 1937 -October 5, 2016
James “Jimmie” Wilson Beadle Sr., 79, a resident of Morgan City, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 5, 2016, at Teche Regional Medical Center.
He was born July 14, 1937, in Morgan City, the son of Wilson Woodrow Beadle and Alberta Fernandez Bolotte.
Jimmie was a renowned storyteller who loved life and lived it to the fullest. He began his working career by enlisting in the Army National Guard twice. After his service, he began driving trucks in the oil and gas industry, working his way up and eventually becoming vice-president of Patterson Truck Lines in Houma, Louisiana.
Jimmie was a Western enthusiast, as well as a cigar aficionado. He was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend that will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his two sons, James “Jim” Beadle Jr. of Lafayette and Wade Beadle of Louisburg, North Carolina; a brother, John Beadle of Lafayette; a brother-in-law, Sydney Raymond of Morgan City; three grandchildren, Brandi Viator, Sam J. Beadle and Megan Beadle; two great-grandchildren, Lilah and Aaliyha; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Wilson Woodrow Beadle and Alberta Fernandez Bolotte; his wife, Shirley Beadle; and a sister, Elnora “Nonnie” Raymond.
Visitation services will be held at Twin City Funeral Home on Monday, Oct. 10, 2016, from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. James will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
