James Moore
James “Uncle James,” “Jack of all Trades” Moore, 55, a native of Lafayette and a resident of Verdunville, died Friday, Oct. 31, 2014, at his residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Jones Funeral Home, 1101 Main St. in Franklin. Burial will follow in the Israelite Cemetery in Centerville. At the request of the immediate family, there will be no public viewing.
Survivors include a son, James Anthony Stevenson-Moore, of Centerville; a daughter, Jamika B. Stevenson-Moore, of Centerville; three grandchildren; and seven sisters, Geraldine Hart, Carolyn Boatman, Evelyn Mack and Delores Stewart, all of Franklin, Catherine Broussard and Linda Lashley, both of Verdunville, and Diane Freeman, of New Iberia.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, one brother, maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents.
Jones Funeral Home of Morgan City, Franklin, Jeanerette, Houma is in charge of arrangements.
