Funeral services for Jewel Marie Stevens Kristicevich will be held at an 11 a.m. Mass of Christian burial on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charenton, with Fr. Gregory Cormier as Celebrant for the Mass. A gathering of family and friends will begin at 9 a.m. at the church. She will be laid to rest with her husband in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Steve Kristicevich, Craig Kristicevich, Chris Kristicevich, Ted Dugas, Curtis Clements, Dan McCloy, and Zack Kristicevich.
Mrs. Jewel was born in Charenton on April 17, 1927 to the late S.O. Stevens and Anita Marie Verret Stevens. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who enjoyed reading, going out to eat, and going to the movies. She passed away Friday, January 30, 2015, at Iberia Medical Center in New Iberia. She will be deeply missed by her family and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
Survivors include five children, Sharon K. Dugas and her husband, Ted; Steve Kristicevich and his wife, Cyndi; Craig Kristicevich and his companion, Julia Parker; Chris Kristicevich and his companion, Carolyn Simoneaux; and Tina K. Clements and her husband, Curtis; 14 grandchildren, Tori K. Louviere and her husband, Jeremy; Maria Kristicevich and her partner, Paige Krause; Sara K. Young, Zack Kristicevich and his wife, Michelle; Kayla Kristicevich and her fiancé, Chase Bonin; Nick Kristicevich, Alesha Kristicevich, Tanna Kristicevich, Tonya K. LeBlanc and her husband, Trenton; Shawn Clements, Misty C. Guthinger and her husband, Brandon; Kimberly Clements, Lacie Clements and Haley Clements and her fiancé; Keith Leedom; 10 great grandchildren, Greyson Young, Tyson LeBlanc, Londyn LeBlanc, Tristan Clements, Anthony Clements, Brianna Guthinger, Aaliya Clements, Lennon Clements, Ryder Durocher and Kade Leedom; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony “Taco” Kristicevich; and one grandson, Brian Paul Dugas.
