LETHA P. BARARD

Letha P. Barard, 96, a native of Verdunville and a resident of Morgan City, died Wednesday, February 4, 2015 at 9:30 p.m., at her residence in Morgan City.
Visitation will be observed Saturday, February 14, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Morgan City, from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m., with a rosary being recited at 9 a.m. A Mass of Christian will begin at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery (St. Anthony Society) in Morgan City.
Memories of Letha will forever be cherished in the heart of her son, Kevin O. Barard of Lafayette; her six daughters, Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Queen of Thibodaux, Carolyn Phillips, Shirley O’Brien and Lucretia Poplus, all of Morgan City, Iris Notto of Lafayette and Mrs. Jeffrey (Mary) Brand of KY; one brother, Edward Paul Jr. of Franklin; two sisters, Lucretia LaVigne of Oakland, CA and Hazel Poplus of Kenner; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Letha was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one son.
