LILLIE JACKSON VILTZ

Mrs. Lillie Jackson Viltz, 84, a resident of Sorrell and native of Jeanerette, died Sunday, October 26, 2014, at 4:53 a.m., at AMG Regional Hospital in Lafayette following a short illness.
She is survived by six sons, Woodrow Viltz of Franklin, Cleveland Viltz Jr., Rudy, David, Richard and Joey Viltz, all of Sorrell; five daughters, Gloria Viltz and Sue Viltz, both of Sorrell, Helen Armelin of New Iberia, Maraget Shepard and Joelene Viltz, both of Houston, Texas; three brothers, Rico Jackson of St. Martinville, Wilson Jackson of Baldwin and Clarence Jackson of Centerville; three sisters, Lucy Jackson of Springfield, Massachusetts, Rose Mary Arceneaux of Houston, and Florance Jackson of Sorrell; nine grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Viltz was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Visitations will be observed Saturday, Nov. 1, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at St. Moses Baptist Church in Sorrell.
Burial rites will be read Saturday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with the Rev. B.K. Stevens officiating. Interment will follow in the Sorrell Cemetery.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
