LYNN JOHN CHAMPAGNE SR.

Lynn John Champagne Sr., a native and former resident of Franklin and current resident of Sorrel, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 63 on Thursday, January 29, 2015, at Franklin Foundation Hospital. He had a love of the water and enjoyed fishing, cutting his grass, and telling stories. He was an employee of the St. Mary Sugar Co-Op for the past nine years. His true passion in life though was his grandkids. He will be sorely missed by his family and fondly remembered by all who knew him.
Survivors include his wife of 32 years, Judy Borel Champagne; his children, Lynn John Champagne Jr., Timothy Hiles Sr., David Wayne Champagne, Jeff Hiles, Keeley Higgins and Ricky Champagne Sr.; three brothers, Bill Champagne, Mike Champagne and Keith Champagne; two sisters, Evelyn Derouen and Paula Derouen; numerous grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sterling Champagne Sr. and Anna Robicheaux Champagne; one brother, Sterling Champagne Jr.; an infant sister, Sharon Champagne; as well as two grandchildren.
The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date, celebrating the life of Mr. Lynn.
