Funeral services were held today during a private graveside service in the Franklin Cemetery for Mrs. Marilyn Rideout Wiese, a native of Franklin and a 48 year resident of Centerville, who passed away at the age of 71 on Monday, August 8, 2016, at her home.
Marilyn was a wonderful cook who enjoyed feeding her family. Some of her other favorite pastimes including reading, crocheting, going to the casino, traveling, and going to see Engelbert Humperdinck in concert. But her true passion in life was spending time with her family, whom she deeply loved.
Survivors include her husband of 48 years, Allen James “Red” Wiese; three children, Lisa Wise Gage, Robert Allen Wiese and Sandy Wiese; three grandchildren, Brant Bouy, Jesse Bouy and his wife, Caroline; and Taylor Gage; her godchild, Nickolas Blane Williams; her brother, Tobin McSween and his wife, Leila; her dear friend, Lisa Compton; and her beloved puppies, Molly and Ellie.
She was preceded in death by her father, Anson Farrand Rideout; her mother, Jane and Charles McSween; her aunt, Elizabeth McCardell; and her son-in-law, Anthony “Tony” Gage.
