MRS. GUSTAVIA KELLY
A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Gustavia Kelly was held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at noon, at St. Joseph Baptist Church in Franklin (St. Joseph area). The Rev. Ronald Young, pastor, officiated the service.
Visitation was Saturday, August 20, from 9 a.m. until the commencement of the Celebration of Life at the church.
Mrs. Kelly was interred in St. Joseph Baptist Church Cemetery in Franklin (St. Joseph area).
Born on October 21, 1932 in Gibson, LA to the late Jack Washington and Dora Rollins, Gustavia, affectionately known as “Ma,” passed away on August 9, 2016, at her home surrounded by her family. She was 84 years old.
Left to cherish her memories is her husband, Ivory Kelly Sr.; five daughters, Sophia Mallet, Eula M. White, Delores Williams, Tammy (Ronald Sr.) Provost, and DeAngles Freeman; one son, Kenneth Kelly; 28 grandchildren; 76 great grandchildren; 32 great great grandchildren; six godchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Ivory Kelly Jr.; two daughters, Ethel Lee Johnson, and Gustavia “Lil” Kelly; five sisters, Mary Jessie Brent, Thelma W. Prince, Genevia W. Robertson, Louise W. Harvey, and Bertha W. Mack; four brothers, Oliver Washington, Ruben Washington, Steward Washington, and Louis Washington; and five great grandchildren.
