MRS. MARY ALICE TRIGGS

Mrs. Mary Alice Triggs, 78, a resident and native of Morgan City, died Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at 7:03 p.m., at Teche Regional Medical Center following a short illness.
She is survived by one son, Norris M. Triggs Jr. of Morgan City; two daughters, Dorothy T. Stewart of Patterson and Tyeka D. Webb of Houston, Texas; four brothers, Leroy Trimm Sr., Oliver Trimm Jr. and Edward Trimm Sr. and Nathaniel Clark, all of Morgan City; four sisters, Min. Viola Trim, Betty N. Banks and Judy Trim, all of Morgan City, and Luticia Ruffin of Lake Charles.
Mrs. Triggs was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Triggs Sr.; her parents, Dorothy and Oliver Trim Sr.; grandparents, Victoria and Chester Jones; and two brothers and one sister.
Visitations will be observed Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., at New Mt. Ester Baptist Church, 1211 James St. in Morgan City.
Burial rites will be read Tuesday, at 11 a.m., at that church, with Elder Charles Datis Sr. officiating. Interment will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Morgan City.
The Otis Mortuary of Franklin is in charge of preparations.
