NAM VAN NGUYEN
October 26, 1930 — September 3, 2015
Nam Van Nguyen, a native of Vietnam and a resident of Amelia, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015. He was 84.
Nam is survived by his wife, Nhuc Thi Nguyen; four sons, Xuyen Nguyen, Khang Nguyen and his wife, Phuong Vo, Canh Nguyen and his wife, Hop Le, and Chuong Nguyen and his wife, Thuy Nguyen; two daughters, Hop Truong and her husband, Nam Huynh, and Ket Nguyen and her husband, Son Dang; eight grandsons; nine granddaughters; eight great-grandsons; and four great-granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents; brothers; sisters; one grandson, Kiet Nguyen; and one great-grandson, Jaxon Adams.
Services will begin with a Mass on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2015, at 11 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church in Amelia. Visitation will follow that evening from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Hargrave Funeral Home and will continue on Sunday, Sept. 6, 2015, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., also at Hargrave Funeral Home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 7, 2015, at Holy Family Church in Amelia. Nam will be laid to rest in the Morgan City Cemetery.
