PATRICIA ‘PAT’ COLAR JACKSON

Patricia “Pat” Colar Jackson, 50, a native of Jeanerette and resident of Franklin, died Saturday, October 5, 2013 at her residence at 4:53 p.m.
Visitation will be Friday, October 18, at Jones Funeral Home in in Franklin, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m.
Patricia leaves to cherish her memories five sons, Dwayne Jackson (Opeal Dempsey) of Jeanerette, Darnell Colar, Terrell Jackson (Princess A’lura Wiggins) of Baton Rouge, Rufus (Sarah) Jackson Sr. and Delana (Sueana) Jackson, both of Sioux City, Iowa; four daughters, Mrs. James Morris (Latina) Edwards, Mrs. Jacob (Angelia) Picard Sr., Lahouma Jackson and Barbarlyn Jackson, all of Franklin; four brothers, Kenneth Colar Sr. of Four Corners, Donnie Colar and Jessie Brown Sr., both of Franklin, and James Colar of New Iberia; two sisters, Glenda Colar of Jeanerette and Cheryl Robertson of Franklin; a devoted cousin; companion, Anthony Rubbins of Jeanerette; two godchildren; 55 grandchildren; 50 great grandchildren; two great nieces-in-law; one great granddaughter, and a host of relatives and friends who realize that earth has no sorrow that Heaven cannot heal.
Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, three sisters, her grandparents and one niece.
