RICHARD A. ‘RICK’ ROBICHAUX JR.

Funeral services were held Monday, September 15, 2014, at 2 p.m., at Ibert’s Mortuary in Franklin for Richard A. “Rick” Robichaux Jr., a Franklin native and a 43 year resident of Lafayette, who passed away Friday, September 12, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. He will be laid to rest in the Franklin Cemetery. Father Lloyd Benoit will officiate the services.
A gathering of family and friends was held Monday, at Ibert’s Mortuary, from 10 a.m. until time of service.
Rick was a huge sports fan as well as an avid Saints, LSU and UL fan. In his earlier years he coached and umpired softball. He was also a former longtime employee of Schilling Distributing Co. in Lafayette.
Survivors include his son, Gary Robichaux; his father, Richard Robichaux Sr.; two brothers, Stephen Robichaux and Jeffrey Robichaux and his wife, Janet Robichaux; and one niece, Jenny Robichaux.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Darcey Robichaux.
