Sheila Miguez Pontiff

Memorial services will be held Monday, February 27, 2017, at the Church of the Assumption during a 12:00 p.m. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for Sheila Miguez Pontiff. A gathering of family and friends will be held Monday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m., with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 11:00 a.m.

Sheila was a native and resident of Franklin who had a loving and caring nature and whose smile would light up a room. She cherished babysitting for family and friends and her grandchildren were the light of her life. She passed away at the age of 54 on Tuesday, February 21, 2017. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her children, Jared J. Pontiff and Lauren R. Pontiff; her grandchildren, Logan, Carsyn, Brody, and Maverick; her parents, Coral Miguez and Janice Bodin Miguez; her sisters, Carla Trosclair, Lisa Bourgeois, and Angela "Buffy" Landry; and her former husband, Ray Pontiff.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Brent Miguez.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to help alleviate funeral expenses.
