SIDNEY 'DON' TRAHAN

December 22, 1956- August 31, 2016
Funeral services for Sidney “Don” Trahan will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2016, at 7 p.m. at Ibert’s Mortuary in Patterson, with a gathering of family and friends beginning at 3 p.m. The Holy Rosary will be prayed at 6:30 p.m. Father Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the service. Following the funeral services, a private inurnment will be held. Pallbearers will be Marshall Comeaux, Coty Trahan, Brodie Trahan, Dustin Palmer, Kent Ledet and Chase Hunt.
A loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend to many, Don was a native of Vermilion Parish and a longtime resident of St. Mary Parish. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and was a proud member of the Pa Picket Hunting Club. Some of his other favorite pastimes included golfing, playing his guitar, and classic cars. He passed away unexpectedly at the age of 59 and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Belinda Palmer Trahan; two daughters, Amy T. Comeaux and her husband Marshall, and Katie Trahan and her boyfriend Chase Hunt; one granddaughter, Cecilia Lee Comeaux; his mother, Flora Mae Veronie Trahan; and his parents-in-law, Tex and Marion Palmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sidney John Trahan; and two brothers, Ronald Trahan and Jimmie Chaisson.
