(UPDATED) BOB 'DALE' ANDREWS

Longtime Coastal Bend resident Bob “Dale” Andrews, 71, died May 4, 2016, in Magnolia, Texas. He was born Sept. 27, 1944, in Morgan City, Louisiana.
Dale spent more than 40 years as a pressman, producing scores of newspapers and other publications in San Patricio, Nueces and Jim Wells Counties of South Texas. Most of his career was with RotoLith Printing Co. in Sinton. He spent his later years working with Alice Newspapers.
Dale was a kind man with a heart of gold, always putting the needs of others before his own, no matter the cost.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Gran and Vera Andrews; a sister, Viola (Roland) Bourgeois; a brother, Henry Andrews; and brother-in-law, Charles “Jay” Percle.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Betty Andrews; a brother, David (Lola) Andrews, both of Bayou Vista, Louisiana; sisters, Isabelle Percle of Bayou Vista, Louisiana, Betty Carol (Gerald) Thibodeaux of Magnolia, Texas, and Myrtis (Billy) Noble of Robstown, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held at a later date in Morgan City, Louisiana.
