VERONICA RUFFIN

Veronica Ruffin, 57, a native and resident of Morgan City, died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016, at Ochsner Medical Center.
Visitation will be Fri-day at Mount Zion Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until services at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the Morgan City Cemetery.
She is survived by two sons, Gerald Ruffin of Houston and Jarvis Ruffin of Patterson; a daughter, Lowanda Ruffin of Morgan City; her father, Maurice Ruffin Sr. and his wife of Patterson; a life-long friend and companion; two brothers, Maurice Ruffin Jr. of Patterson and Michael Ruffin Sr. of Morgan City; two sisters, Dianna Darnell of Franklin and Joslyn Anderson of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; four grandchildren; a godchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, a grandson, a sister, a brother, and both her maternal and paternal grandparents.
