WALTER JOSEPH ROBICHEAUX

Walter Joseph Robicheaux, 67, a native of Franklin and resident of Houma, died Sunday, December 7, 2014.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, Dec. 10, from 4 p.m. until services at 8:30 p.m., at Chauvin Funeral Home.
He is survived by his children, Jeffrey M. Robicheaux and wife, Kay Robicheaux; Jonathan Penton-Robicheaux and husband, Derek Penton-Robicheaux; and Beth Robicheaux Canter and husband, Fred Canter; grandchildren, Jadyn Robicheaux and step granddaughter, Chassity Peroyea, Brooke and Mason Canter.
Mr. Robicheaux was preceded in death by his parents, Willie J. Robicheaux Sr. and Rosa Battaglia Robicheaux; brother, Willie Robicheaux Jr.; and sister, Arlene Robicheaux Norris.
Walter retired from South Central Bell after 35 years of service. He was an active member of The Telephone Pioneers where he was just inducted as the upcoming president. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and spent a lot of time at his camp in Greensburg. He loved to dance, keep people laughing and never met a stranger.
He loved his family and grandchildren dearly and he will be missed by many friends and family.
