William ‘Bill’ A. Daniel III

William “Bill” A. Daniel III, 65, current resident of Patterson and former resident of Natchitoches and Morgan City, was born in Great Lakes, Illinois, on July 22, 1949. After a courageous short battle with cancer, Bill passed away peacefully at his home on the lower Atchafalaya Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015. Family and friends are invited to the visitation at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Patterson, Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, beginning at 10 a.m. with a memorial service being held at 11 a.m.
Bill was one of three children born to the late William “Dan” Daniel Jr. and Edna Ruth Hearron Daniel, and was the beloved husband of Linda Jones Daniel for almost 46 years. He will forever be remembered by his beloved daughter, Kristen Daniel Lipari and her husband, Matthew, of Patterson; his devoted son, William “Korey” Daniel and his wife, Giovanna, of Atlanta; one sister, Carol Gene Daniel; one brother, John Hearron Daniel; treasured by his three special grandchildren, Jordan, Megan and Landon Lipari; one delightful expected grandson that will carry on the William Daniel legacy in May of 2015; one precious godchild, Nikki Adams Templet and her husband, Scott, of Morgan City; along with countless friends and family who were blessed to know and love his selfless fun spirit.
Bill graduated from Patterson High School in 1967 and attended Northwestern State University in Natchitoches. He then married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Linda on Feb. 15, 1969. Bill, along with his wife, owned and operated their business, Plantation Treasures in Morgan City. He loved listening to classical music, reading, traveling, spending time with family and friends, drinking red wine and taking on business adventures.
Bill touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity, and maintained his trademark sense of humor all the way to the end of his journey.
The Daniel family would also like to thank all of the medical staff at Thibodaux Regional Medical Center for their exceptional care and hospitality, especially Dr. Chester Weimer and second floor nurse, Megan.
