Berwick Panthers defeat North Vermilion, 60-53

The Berwick High School Panthers defeated North Vermilion, 60-53, in Berwick Tuesday in a District 8-3A contest.
Berwick outscored the Patriots in three of the four quarter. Berwick led 14-10 after a quarter of play, 24-23 at halftime and 39-34 after three quarters.
Josh Carver led four Panthers in double figures with 10 points apiece. Larenz Clark, Tysin Meads and Donald Tillman each scored 10, while Cody Roberie and Travis Whitehead had two points apiece.
Berwick (15-10 overall, 4-2 in district) will return to action Friday when it travels to face Franklin.
Patterson remains
perfect in district
The Patterson Lumberjacks remained perfect in District 8-3A play with a 49-36 victory against Franklin at Patterson Tuesday.
Patterson outscored Franklin in every quarter as the Lumberjacks led 10-9 after a period of play, 22-18 at halftime and 35-28 after three quarters.
Tyric Garrett and Jordan Butler each had 11 points to lead Patterson. Other Patterson scorers included Khyri Harris, six; John Brooks, five; Dajon Richard, four; Drew Lucas, and Kai Schexnayder, three points each; and Kamiah Jones, Irvin Celestine and Elijah Williams, two points apiece.
Patterson (11-7, 6-0) will return to action Friday when it travels to face David Thibodaux in a nondistrict contest.
CCHS falls to
Ascension Episcopal
Central Catholic dropped a District 7-1A contest at Ascension Episcopal Monday, 53-42.
No individual statistics were submitted for the Eagles.
Central Catholic (8-8, 4-3) will return to action Friday when it travels to face Lafayette Christian in league play.
