CCHS honors hoops teams

Central Catholic honored its boys and girls basketball teams during an awards ceremony at the school Sunday afternoon.
In addition to senior plaques, all-district all-state awards were distributed.
Below is a list of awards:
Girls Basketball
—All-District: Hallie Autin, second-team; Mary-Beth Blanchard, honorable mention; and Taylor Picou, honorable mention, All-Defensive team; Sydney Williams, honorable mention.
—Academic All-District: Blanchard, Autin, Rebecca David, Emma Aucoin, Hanna McCue, Picou, Williams, Elise Hidalgo, Lexi Landry, Rachel Rogers and Caitlyn Picou
—Class 1A Academic All-State: Blanchard, first team.
Boys basketball
—All-District: Jalen Johnson, first-team; Stefano Guarisco, second-team; Charlie Solar, honorable mention; Samarick Paul, honorable mention; and Blake Byrne, honorable mention.
—Class 1A Academic All-State: Matt Vorenkamp, first-team.
—Academic All-District: Vorenkamp, Guarisco, Tanner Wiggins, Solar, Johnson, Paul, Byrne and Cade Minton.
