Trio of MCHS Lady Tigers earn 1st-team All-District honors

The Morgan City Lady Tigers soccer team was led on the All-District 6-III team by three first-team selections.
Junior defender Brandi Albarado, sophomore midfielder Kaylynn Gros and sophomore forward Allie Vincent all were named first-team selections.
Morgan City had four second-team selections: senior goalkeeper Hanna Toups and freshmen, defender Hayden Trotter and forwards Angie Sagastizado and McKenzi Smith.
Morgan City’s honorable mention selections were Cayla Mayon, Sheyla Valdez, Hannah Falgout, Madison Barrilleaux and Johnay Coulon.
District champion Vandebilt Catholic swept the individual honors as senior Jeanne Harson was named Defensive Most Valuable Player, junior Grace Champagne is the Offensive MVP and Philip Amadee is the Coach of the Year.
