Biddy basketball tournament held

B. Landry’s Lawn Care, Vida Paint and A-1 Specialties finished first in their respective age groups in Morgan City Biddy Basketball’s tournament this weekend at M.D. Shannon Elementary.
B. Landry’s won the 7-8-year-old division after defeating KBZE, 22-16 and Recreation, 45-14, on Saturday, and Flawless Design, 43-9, on Sunday.
In the win against B. Landry’s, Benjamin Case led the victors with 14 points, while Joshua Neville had four points and Landon Gagliano and Edward Woods Jr. each had two points.
Willie Webb had nine points to lead KBZE, while De’Khyri Cooks had five points and Jaydon Ward, two points.
Against Recreation, Case led B. Landry’s with 23 points, while Gagliano had eight points and Thomas Mancuso, four points.
Laurielle Bias led Recreation with eight points, while Alayia Howard, John Patrick Myers and Elijah Oubre each had two points.
Against Flawless Design, Woods led B. Landry’s Lawn Care with 14 points, while Case and Gagliano each had 10 points.
Gregory Hamer, Lucas Pickens, Kyle Stansbury and Neville all had two points in the win.
Cade Menia scored Flawless Design’s nine points.
In other 7-8-year-old action, Recreation shut out Flawless Design, 23-0, Saturday.
Bias led Recreation with 12 points, while Howard and Myers each had four points and Angel Geason had two points.
KBZE also defeated Flawless Design, 40-5, on Saturday.
Webb led KBZE with 22 points, while Cooks had eight and Evan Mayon and Woods each had four points.
For Flawless Design, Menia had three points and Jenna Fraley had two points.
KBZE topped Recreation, 27-20, on Sunday.
Webb led KBZE with 15 points, while Mayon, Joseph Breaux and Cooks all had four points.
Bias led Recreation with 14 points, while Geason had four and Howard, two.
In 9-10-year-old action, Vida Paint defeated Taco Bell/KFC, 34-31, Saturday, and Coastal Manpower, 47-24, on Sunday.
Against Taco Bell/KFC, Tyler Smith led Vida Paint with 21 points, while Kye Morgel had 10 points and Howard Kinchen had three points.
In the loss, Damondrick Blackburn had 13 points for Taco Bell/KFC, while Shawn Francis Jr. contributed eight points and Keon Carbin, four.
In the win against Coastal Manpower, Morgel led Vida Paint with 15 points, while Kinchen had seven and De’Mari Watkins had four.
Tylon Mobley led Coastal Manpower with 19 points, while Lily Eues had four points and Zaki Singleton, one point.
In other action, Coastal Manpower defeated Taco Bell/KFC, 43-27, Saturday.
Mobley led Coastal Manpower with 26 points, while Andy Gros IV contributed seven and Dylan Cornes, six.
In the loss, Francois led Taco Bell/KFC with 12 points, while Blackburn had seven points and Randy Fontenot scored five.
In 11-12-year-old action, A-1 Specialties defeated Skipper’s, 38-26 and Biddy, 29-18, on Saturday, and M C Bank, 45-30, on Sunday.
In the win against Skipper’s, Davidyione Bias led A-1 Specialties with 16 points, while Michael-Anthony Hill had 11 points and Taylor Blanchard scored nine.
Donald Lewis led Skipper’s with 12 points, while Kurvontay Webb had eight and Thomas Myers, two points.
Against Biddy, Bias led A-1 Specialties with 14 points, while Hill had six and Blanchard, five.
William LaRocca led Biddy with six points, while Tylan Bennett had four points and Wynesha Webb and Brett Dupuis with two points each.
Against M C Bank, Hill and Bias each had 14 points for A-1 Specialties, while Blanchard had nine and Javion Jones scored four.
Elijah Singleton and Dylan Tingle led M C Bank with eight points apiece, while Tyrese Batiste had five points and Kevan Patel had three.
In other 11-12-year-old action, Biddy edged M C Bank, 37-35, on Saturday.
LaRocca led Biddy with 14 points, while Shemar Naverre had nine points and Luke Freia and Tylan Bennett each added six.
TrayVonn Batiste led M C Bank with 11 points, while Singleton scored 12 and Tyrese Batiste added two.
Also, Skipper’s defeated M C Bank, 38-25, Saturday.
Lewis led Skipper’s with 15 points, while Webb had 11 and Nylan Francis scored eight.
Singleton led M C Bank with 15 points, while Tingle had four points and Lonnie Kinchen, Dakota Gibson and TrayVonn Batiste all had two points.
In another game, Biddy defeated Skipper’s, 51-44, on Sunday.
Naverre led Biddy with 20 points, while Bennett had 13 points and LaRocca scored 11.
Francis led Skipper’s with 19 points, while Webb had 12 points and Lewis, nine points.
