Fishing rodeo is set for May 10

The second annual Morgan City Oilfield Fishing Rodeo will be held May 10.
A day prior to the event, a golf scramble will be held at 4:30 p.m. at The Atchafalaya at Idlewild. The event, which is open to 20, two-man teams, will serve as a kick-off social for the rodeo.

As for the rodeo, competition categories will consist of fishing in redfish, bass, speckled trout and catfish.
Corporate, Gold and Diamond sponsorships are available for $500, $1,000 and $2,500, respectively.
The corporate sponsorship includes one team entry in one category, the gold sponsorship consists of one team entry in two categories, and the diamond sponsorship includes two team entries for all categories.
Checks should be made payable to MCOF; P.O. Box 2116; Morgan City, LA 70381. Checks must accompany entry forms. The deadline to enter is April 17 by 8 p.m.
Weigh-in will be at the Patterson Area Civic Center.
