Franklin 9-year-old All-Stars post opening round victory

THIBODAUX _ Franklin’s 9-year-old All-Stars posted an opening round win in the Dixie Youth Baseball 9-year-old District Tournament here Thursday at Peltier Park.
After a long rain delay, Franklin rallied for a 13-10 win over Thibodaux in Game 1.
In other action on tap for today, Franklin will play Morgan City today at 4 p.m. in Game 2.
Action will continue on Saturday with Thibodaux taking on Morgan City in Game 3 at 10 a.m.
Games 4 and 5 will be played on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 4 p.m. if necessary.
THE FRANKLIN 11-YEAR-OLD All-Stars will start action tonight at 6 in Game 2 of the Dixie Youth Baseball 11-year-old District Tournament at Peltier Park.
In the Dixie Youth 11-year-old District Tournament opener, Morgan City played Thibodaux in the opener.
Franklin will play Thibodaux tonight at 6 p.m. in Game 2.
Action will continue on Saturday at noon with Morgan City playing Franklin.
The Dixie 2014 District 3-AA Tournament 8-year-old Machine Pitch also opened play Thursday with three games.
Morgan City will battle Franklin in Game 2 while Patterson played Thibodaux National in Game 3.
Three games are also on tap for tonight with Thibodaux American versus Franklin at 5:30 p.m. with Morgan City playing Thibodaux National at 6:45 p.m. and St. Mary Central playing Patterson at 8 p.m.
THE FRANKLIN 14-year-old All-stars will enter the DIXIE BOYS BASEBALL Three-Team Double Elimination Tournament tonight.
In Game 1, Jefferson will take on Thibodaux. Franklin will battle Thibodaux in Game 2 before Jefferson and Franklin battle in Game 3.
